“I get up every day and go to work to make sure that every child in our K-12 education system has what they need to thrive in a rapidly changing digital economy.
As a former kindergarten teacher and a tech industry executive, I know how important education is to our future. That’s why my colleagues in the Senate asked me to chair the Senate Education Committee and why I’m honored to serve the people of the 41st District in Olympia.”

“Despite Washington’s rich knowledge economy, a recent survey ranked the state a shockingly low 40th in college readiness in the country. That has to change — and Wellman is the right lawmaker to lead the charge in the Senate.”
“Throughout her career, she has devoted her time to worthy causes like expanding access to broadband internet. Earlier this year, she spearheaded efforts to prevent and respond to the state’s ongoing fentanyl and opioid overdose crisis…Voters should retain her for the 41st District seat.”
